Abelardo Moran Sanchez

Abelardo M. Sanchez, 86, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, August 19, 2024. He is now home with our Lord and reunited with his loving wife. Born on August 21, 1937 in Floresville, TX to Alvaro and Herminia Sanchez. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of 61 years, Irma Sanchez.

He is survived by his daughters, Hilda Morales (Carlos), Cindy Sanchez (Vidal Rodriguez); grandsons; Carlos Morales and Christopher Morales; brothers, Alvaro Sanchez, Jr. and Adolphus Sanchez; sisters, Arcilia Pacheco, Adella Calvillo and Angelita Garza, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a good son, friend, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed.

As a young man he joined the US Army to serve our Country. Most of his working days were spent at McKesson Chemical Co./Van Waters & Rogers where he retired after 30 years in 2000. After retirement, his enjoyment was working in the yard and spending time with his family, especially his grandsons.

A Visitation will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 108 S Washington Dr., Devine, TX 78016 on August 23, 2024 at 9:00a.m, Rosary will follow at 10:00a.m., Mass will be celebrated at 11:00a.m. with interment to follow in Moore Catholic Cemetery.
