Adeline Birdie Vaughan Nixon

Adeline Birdie Vaughan Nixon, age 92, passed away Friday, December 29th, 2023 at Coronado at Stone Oak in San Antonio.

Adeline is preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. (Bob) Nixon of fifty years. 

Adeline was born and raised in Bigfoot, Texas by Annie and Melvin Vaughan and had three siblings, Mary, Charlie, and Robert.

Robert and Adeline owned and operated Nixon Auto Parts in Pearsall, TX. from 1976 to 1992.

Adeline was a member of the Fire Bells, and Wives of Volunteer Fire Department of Pearsall, TX. She was involved with Cub Scouts and Campfire Girls with her children and was an avid Band Booster for the Pearsall High School Band. 

The Nixon's were active members of the Church of Christ in Pearsall, serving Sunday school teachers, and her husband, Robert served as a Deacon and later as an Elder in the church.

The Nixon's relocated to San Antonio upon retirement to be closer to their children. 

Adeline is survived by her children Ray Van Nixon of San Antonio, Debbie Nixon Moore, and son in law Timothy J. Moore, and granddaughter, Robin McCall Moore also of San Antonio, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Ray and Debbie will be receiving visitors in memory of their beloved mother at Primrose Funeral Services in Devine, Texas on January 5, 2023, from 3:00 - 6:00 PM.
