With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Aida Irma Cortes-Rodriguez at the age of 88. A cherished homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she touched the hearts of all who knew her. In 2021, she embarked on a new adventure, moving to Lytle to embrace the serene joys of farm life.
Aida found solace in the simple pleasures of watching over farm animals and immersing herself in the timeless wisdom of her favorite book, the Bible. Her days were filled with quiet reflection and moments of profound connection with nature.
A devoted matriarch, Aida held family close to her heart. She delighted in traveling to visit her seven daughters and one son, cherishing every moment spent together. Her love knew no bounds and extended to all who crossed her path.
Among her many talents, Aida was renowned for her culinary prowess, particularly her signature dish, "La Sopona," a soup that warmed the soul and brought comfort to all who tasted it.
Aida's legacy of love, warmth, and unwavering faith will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Though she may have left this world, her spirit will continue to shine brightly, guiding and inspiring those who were fortunate enough to know her.
