Amando "Mando" S. Rodriguez of Pearsall, Texas passed away at the age of 72, surrounded by his loving family.

He is preceded in death by his parents Nicolas and Agapita Rodriguez; brothers, Gilberto Rodriguez, and Luis Rodriguez.

Mando was born in Wellman, Texas and was an incredibly hardworking man, doing whatever was necessary to take care of his family, and at times carried three jobs at one time. He also served as a Frio County Constable for Precinct 3 from to 2001 to 2004. He was the leader and heart of the Rodriguez family. Mando will be missed by his family and many friends. He had a big heart for people, his family, and community. He also owned A&D Ballroom along with his wife Dora Rodriguez in Pearsall, Texas.

At a young age, Mando and his siblings learned about hard work with their father, farming the fields. For years, people looked forward to their watermelon crop. He continued the tradition with his own sons and grandsons until this past year.

Mando is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Dora; sons, Amando Jr (Marisol), Rolando, and Daniel (Elaine); he also leaves behind his siblings, Consuelo Trevino, Nicolas Jr. Rodriguez (Gloria), Oscar Rodriguez (Socorro), Leonardo Rodriguez (Nina), Catarino Rodriguez (Sylvia),Domingo Rodriguez (Irma), Sylvia Rodriguez (Victor), Dora Gonzales (Randy), Nobert Rodriguez (Mitzy), and his beloved grandchildren; Amando Rodriguez III, and Alejandro Rodriguez, who were his pride and joy. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held in his honor on Monday, March 17, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church of Pearsall,Texas. A Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, with interment to follow in Pearsall Catholic Cemetery East (on Colorado St).

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Primrose Funeral Services in Pearsall, Texas.
