Angel Rose Rivera, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on August 3, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 49. She was born on September 16, 1973, in San Antonio, Texas. Angel will be remembered for her infectious smile, her unwavering willingness to help others, and her love for cooking and sharing meals with her family.
Angel lived a life filled with joy and warmth. Her radiant personality brightened the lives of all those around her. No matter the situation, she always had a smile on her face and an open heart. Angel's selflessness extended beyond words as she consistently went out of her way to help anyone in need. Her kindness left an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her.
In addition to being known for her compassionate nature, Angel had a passion for cooking. She found true joy in preparing delicious meals and sharing them with her loved ones. Friends and family were often welcomed into her home to enjoy the fruits of her culinary adventures. It was through these shared meals that cherished memories were created and bonds were strengthened. Her passion was baking and making everyone's favorite desserts for their birthdays. And her favorite place to get a great ribeye steak was especially from Bob's Steak and Chop. She also loved all genres of music and went to several concerts with her husband and daughter, the last one they went to all together was BTS. Angel had a beautiful voice and led the church choir at St. Andrew's Catholic Church.
She also was a great barista of coffee, teas and adult beverages. Even if she didn't partake she loved to supply everyone for a good time. Angel loved studying and making cocktails. She had a thirst for knowledge and just wanted to be well educated to learn and discover new things not only for herself, but to share with those she loved.
Angel also possessed an innate connection with nature and found solace in gardening. Her love for plants was particularly evident in her beautifully tended rose bushes. She poured time and care into nurturing them, resulting in exquisite blooms that filled the air with their sweet fragrance. Angel's green thumb brought both beauty and tranquility into her life. She also loved her tomato gardens and enjoyed a fresh tomato from the vine. Angel loved crocheting and even giving as personalized gifts.
Angel Rose Rivera was preceded in death by her father, Alfredo Sevier Aguinaga and paternal grandmother, Francisca Aguinaga.
Left to cherish Angel's memory are her beloved husband of 26 years, Rosendo Rivera Jr., their three children: Mikayla Caroline Rivera, Rosendo J. Rivera III and Levi Nathaniel Rivera; her caring mother, Carolina Aguinaga; loving siblings: Alfredo Aguinaga Jr., Victoria Leven (Antonio, Jr.), Ricardo Aguinaga, Juan Francisco Aguinaga (Amanda) and Elisha Marie Aguinaga. Each of them holds a special place in their hearts for Angel, cherishing the memories they created together. As well as a host of loving relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
The loss of Angel Rose Rivera leaves a deep void in the lives of all those who knew and loved her. Her genuine kindness, infectious smile, and caring nature will never be forgotten. She will be remembered as an extraordinary woman who spread love and joy wherever she went.
Her legacy will continue to live on through the memories shared by those who were fortunate enough to have experienced the light she brought into this world. A visitation will be on Monday, August 7, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Primrose Funeral Services in Lytle, Texas. A mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Lytle with interment to follow in Lytle Community Cemetery.
