Anita M. Cruz

Anita M. Cruz was born on May 6, 1941 in Moore, Texas, daughter of Rafael Maldonado and Refugia Villarreal Maldonado. Living in Moore, she helped raised her brothers and sisters and enjoyed being on the farm with her father. Anita went home to the lord on Dec. 24, 2020. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones. Anita has joined her parents, daughter Yolanda Perez, son Marcello Perez Sr, granddaughter Yolanda Perez, and brothers and sisters. She is survived by her wonderful husband Domingo Cruz Sr of 61 years, daughter Alma Vasquez, son Domingo Cruz Jr, daughter in law Guadalupe Cruz, Grandson Marcello Perez Jr, Granddaughters Elizabeth, Roxanne, Vanessa, Clarissa, Alyssa, Marissa, great grandchildren Samantha, Marcello Perez III, Nikolaus, and Abel, as well as brothers and sisters. Anita lived in San Antonio where she retired as a CNA for the city. She enjoyed to play the lottery and scratch offs, gardening, and loved raising and playing with all of her grandchildren. Her presence will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Services will be held Friday, January 22, 2021. Mass will begin at 9:15 at St. Augustine Church in Moore, TX, Burial will follow at Moore Cemetery at 11:00am
