Celestina Elizardo- Valdez

Celestina passed away peacefully at her home in Lytle on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the age of 94. She was born in Seguin, TX on April 6, 1930, to Marcos and Hilaria Rodriguez, she was one of 12 children.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Spouse, infant son Armando, daughter-in-law Jovita, 5 brothers, and 5 sisters.

Celestina is survived by the loves of her life, her children: Luis Elizardo, Frederico Elizardo Jr. (Janie), Raul Elizardo (Lupe), Reynaldo Elizardo, Consuelo Valdez (Rogelio), Josephine Elizardo- Driver (Charles), Mary Ann Velez (Mario), Linda Guerra (Jose), Sylvia Guerrero (Joe), Jose Valdez, Andy Valdez (Cynthia), Bonnie Elizardo, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister Elisa Rodriguez. 

We would like to give special thanks to Girling Personal Care who assisted Mom at home during the last couple of years and Trinity Hospice for all their care and support.

Our family Chain is broken and nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one by one the chain will link again.

Pallbearers Will be her beloved Grandsons Raul Elizardo Jr., Alfred Elizardo, Juan Angel Alcala, Mario Guerra Jr., Mike Herrera, Jose Antonio Quintana, Christopher Valdez, and Andy Valdez Jr. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. at the Primrose Funeral Services chapel of Lytle, Texas. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. St. Andrew's Catholic Church of Lytle, Texas with interment to follow in Lytle Community Cemetery.
