Colton was born in Uvalde, Texas on March 15, 1998 to Jason Russell Spurgers and Kimberly Augsburger Gomez.

Colton is survived by his father, Jason Spurgers and wife, Denise; mother, Kimberly Augsburger Gomez and husband Joaquin; grandparents, James Spurgers and Debbie Dauphinee; siblings, Sarah, Angel, William, Joshua, Katalina, Acacia, Gabriel, Jose, Trinity, Luis, Kya, Chloe and Lilly; aunts and uncles, Robie and Earlita Hellums, Samantha Spurgers, Shane and Annel Spurgers, Mary Gabaldon; numerous relatives and friends.
