"A merry heart does good like medicine," (Proverbs 17:22) describes Cora Mae Sadler perfectly. She loved people and loved to laugh.
Walking along the sidewalk in front of the ice cream shop in Lytle, Texas, she met Edward Sadler who became her husband January 6, 1951. They loved country music and often shared memories of "dancing the night away" with friends at the " Farmer's Daughter" and many other dance halls. Cora and Ed were married 63 years and had two children, Linda (Mel) Cooper and Joel (Jennifer) Sadler.
They were blessed with five grandchildren: Lawson Cooper, Cameron Cooper, Brittany (Michael) Guzman, Jordan (Azzia) Sadler, and Jacob Sadler. Their four great-grandchildren were Kennedi Cooper, Rowan and Nolan Guzman, and Emily Sadler.
Cora was born September 21, 1930 in Clareville, Texas to Willie and Myrtle Hester and enjoyed a country life with her two brothers, Bill and Robert. Cora and Ed made many friends through the years, having lived in numerous, small Texas towns. She lived a life full of fun, laughter, and friendships and will be greatly missed. She was grateful for and fond of her friends, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
