Dalia Pruitt Hinojosa

Dalia Pruitt Hinojosa, age 64, of Pearsall, passed away December 6, 2021, in her home of natural causes.

Dalia was born in August 1957 in Pearsall Tx.  She was strong, loving, and vibrant, with a colorful personality. Her entire life she led by example, by working hard and putting family above all else.  However, little by little her battle with cancer began to take the things that made her the woman we always knew.  Although, through prayer, she fought to keep her strength and spirit to the very end.

She loved to entertain and travel; she never shied away from a new adventure or a good time – or for that matter a good sale. She had many friends, accepted everyone, was never spiteful and knew how to throw a great family gathering. She always loved inviting friends and family to join her for a home-cooked meal.  

She is survived by her father, Alfredo Trujillo Pruitt, husband, Baldemar Hinojosa; her children: Susana (Leonel) Rojas, Noe (Nadia) Gonzales, Adam (Luzero) Gonzales, Jacob (Elizabeth) Gonzales, and Elias (Bianca) Gonzales, Bart Gonzales, Tony Gonzales and Vertwon Gonzales, five sisters, one brother; and twenty-seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother Cruz (Mommy) Bernal Pruitt, son Chris Gonzales, father of her children, Noe Gonzales, brother Alfredo (Chico) Pruitt, and nephew John Anthony Maldonado

A Celebration of Life will be held at Hurley’s Funeral Home on Dec 10, 2021, from 2-7 p.m. followed with a prayer service from 7-8 p.m.  Burial services for family and friends will be held at Hurley’s Funeral Home on Dec 11, 2021, beginning at 9:30 a.m

Rest In Peace Dalia, Daughter, Mom, Grandma, Great-grandma, Sister, and Friend. You had a beautiful and blessed life. We will all miss you.
