Danny Joe Budnik, born on January 16, 1959, bid his final farewell on August 10, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 64. Danny was a cherished son, brother and loyal friend, and an unforgettable presence in the lives of those who crossed paths with him.

Danny was born to Kenneth Budnik and Joann Budnik in San Antonio. He was raised and attended school in Somerset, TX. 

Danny had an unwavering passion for gambling and spent countless hours immersed in the atmosphere of Retama Racetrack. This was where he experienced the thrill of watching races and engaging with fellow enthusiasts. His love for this pastime brought him great joy and countless memories.

Alongside his parents, Danny held a special bond with CamHa Tran-an unbreakable connection that stood the test of time. As lifelong companions, their support and love for one another were unwavering. They created a foundation built on understanding and shared experiences that brought both joy and solace throughout their lives.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Budnik and Joann Budnik; grandparents, Lawrence and Marie Friesenhahn, life long companion, CamHa Tran; niece, Amber Budnik. 

Danny leaves behind a host of surviving family members and friends who will profoundly miss his presence. His brother, Gary Budnik (Marlene), their daughter, Kiona Budnik (Patrick Harris); Ixchel Harris, great niece.

Donna Sollohub (Mike) and their sons, Lance Sollohub (Kristi), Kinzi, Truxton, Kolton, Karli, great nephews and nieces;  Justin Sollohub (Tamara), Bristol, Swayde, great niece and nephew; Tyler Sollohub (Alyson), and Dylan Sollohub (Giselle). He found solace in their love and support, knowing that they were always there for him. The bond they shared created a nurturing environment that made every moment together meaningful.

Danny Joe Budnik was a free spirit who embraced life with zest and courage. His genuine kindness, infectious laughter, and warm smile made an indelible mark on all those fortunate enough to know him. He will forever be remembered as someone who passionately pursued his interests, cherishing every moment along the way.

As we bid farewell to our beloved Danny, let us remember the joy he brought to our lives and the memories we crafted together. In his absence, may we find solace in the love he shared so generously and carry his spirit within us always.
