Darlene Campbell

Darlene Campbell, age 67 of Bigfoot, Texas, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, entered eternal rest on Saturday, April 9, 2022. She was born on May 12, 1954, to parents, Leroy Henry Krueger and Dorothy Mae Braune White in Mathis, Texas.
Preceded in death by her father, Leroy Henry Krueger, stepfather, Carl Francis White, stepmother, Viola Fae Krueger, and stepbrother, Larry James Berringer.
Survived by her husband of 49 years, Danny A. Campbell, son, Nicholas Campbell and wife, Tamara, their children, Trace, Korbin, and Kessler. Daughter, Lesley Givens and husband, Kenny. Sisters, Debra White and husband, Bryan; Sandra Smith and husband, Keith. Brothers, Bo White and wife, Cathy, and brother Hoss White. Stepsisters, Carolyn Davis and husband, Clarence, Jackie Yarbrough and husband, Carl, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Darlene was born and raised in South Texas, moving to Houston, and graduating from Sam Houston in 1972. She worked for Hi-Lo Auto parts and the local drugstore where she met her husband, Danny. Married in 1973, having two children, Nicholas and Lesley. Residing in Cypress, Tx until moving to Carthage, in east Texas, helping run the phone shop. Later, moved to Granbury where she raised her kids and worked. Enjoyed her free time running kids to baseball and soccer practices and games.
After moving to San Antonio in 1998, she worked for her Brother-in-law Bill, at TSC until she retired and moved to Bigfoot, where she remained the best Gigi taking grandkids to school, cheering at baseball games, and FFA events. She loved a reading books and gardening. She loved her family and laughing with her sister and mother during the holidays. Playing domino's, canasta, and putting puzzles together. She especially loved her grandchildren. They kept her busy with science projects, baking cookies, and nature walks. She enjoyed taking them to church on Sundays.
Flowers can be sent to Hurley Funeral home or in leu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
