Dorothy Gaye Buttles Martin

Dorothy Gaye Buttles Martin was born on April 14, 1934, to Dorothy Tully and Paul Frederick Buttles. She attended Pearsall High School and Southwest Texas University, then Married Warren James Martin on December 4, 1954; they had five sons and moved to Kerrville, Texas. 

Dorothy worked for the Kerrville Phone Company, 1st National Bank, and Charles Schreiner Store in Kerrville, Texas. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Kerrville, Texas, a Family Founder of Pearsall Methodist Church in Pearsall, Texas, and an active member of the Daughters of the Republic, the Four Musketeers Dorthy Gaye, Mary Gaye, Nan, and Patsy.

 She is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Warren James Martin, and son Tom Henry Martin.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, Robert Michael Martin and wife Susan; David Patrick Martin and wife Anna; Paul James Martin and wife Cathy; Jon Walker Martin and wife Grace; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

A funeral service will be on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 10:00 am at the Pearsall Methodist Church in Pearsall, Texas, with interment to follow in Pearsall Cemetery.
