Dorothy Louise Montgomery Neuman went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 14, 2021. She was born on May 22, 1931 to Knox Alex Montgomery and Ollie Estelle DuBose Montgomery in Devine, Texas. She was married to Floyd B. Neuman for 58 years and together they had three children, Wayne, Debbie and Barbara. They devoted their lives to family, farming and ranching, and were long-time members of Black Creek Baptist Church. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Floyd B. Neuman; son, F. Wayne Neuman; parents, Alex and Ollie Montgomery; and four brothers, Knox Alex, Jr., Alvin, Willis and David Montgomery. She is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lou Ann and Jerry Jones and Maudie and Grady “Billy” George; sisters-in-law, Irene Montgomery (David), Linda Montgomery (Alvin), Jerrine Neuman (Clyde), Frances Neuman Bailey (Hank); two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Sean Little, and Barbara and Bill Anderson; four grandchildren, Scott Lentz (Camille), Mathew Lentz (Erin), Karen Anderson Fincher (Scott), and Brian Anderson (Molly); nine great grandchildren, Vylette, Olivia, and Evan Lentz, Sephra, Kayla, and Karli Fincher, Tyler, Parker, and Avery Anderson; many nieces and nephews and a number of other loving relatives and friends. Dorothy enjoyed the last years of her life at Devine Health and Rehabilitation Center. The family gives them and everyone who cared for her their greatest and warmest gratitude. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 2:00PM until 9:00PM at Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Devine, Texas. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 at 11:00Am at Hurley Funeral Home Chapel with internment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Black Creek Baptist Church, Devine Texas. Due to the new Executive Order from Governor Abbott, we are asking that everyone wear a mask during all funeral services.
