Fortino Miguel Estrada

Fortino Miguel Estrada, 65 years old, born in Poteet, Texas, passed away on September 23, 2023, after a long, hard struggle with lung cancer. Our Lord Jesus Christ has embraced him and now he is resting in peace.

Fortino Estrada was born on March 24,1958 to Jesusa V. Estrada and Jose Estrada in Poteet, Texas. After Fortino graduated from Southwest High School, he continued to work in metal building and construction. He loved and enjoyed being at home BBQing, spending time with family and friends, enjoying his time with his animals, and being a handyman around the house.

On July 8, 1978, Fortino met and later married his beloved wife, Estella Estrada. Fortino and Estella went on to have three children, Nora, Jose, and Ruby. In addition to his family, he adopted two daughters, Mariah, and Marylin. Fortino is survived by his five children, all his grandchildren, and his loving wife Estella.

In our hearts, we would like to remember "Our Dad" Fortino in having a huge, humble heart. We will never forget his stubbornness, but also his willingness to help everyone in need. Dad, you will be forever in our hearts.

A visitation will be held  at Primrose Funeral Services in Lytle, Texas on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 5:00 pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm.  Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Lytle, Texas. Services to conclude at the church.
