Gilbert Alfaro passed away peacefully on February 26, 2025, in Castroville, Texas. Born on January 4, 1942, in Lytle, TX, he lived a life rich with love, service, and deep connections to those around him.

Gilbert proudly served in the Army, embodying the values of courage and commitment that marked his life. He carried these values into every role he embraced, whether as a soldier, father, or grandfather. He made it his mission to provide for and support his family, instilling in them the importance of hard work and dedication.

His family was the center of his universe. Gilbert is survived by his beloved daughter Leticia Alfaro and his son Jaime Alfaro, both of whom carry forward the legacy of kindness and integrity he imparted to them. His grandson, Dario Alfaro, will always remember the laughter and wisdom shared during cherished moments spent together. Gilbert is also survived by his brother Ricardo Alfaro and his sister Evangelina DeLeon, who treasured their bond and the many memories created throughout their lives.

Gilbert joins in eternal rest his dear parents, Felipe Alfaro and Victoriana Cuellar Alfaro, who provided him with a foundation of love; his wife Tomasa Carrillo Alfaro, a source of strength and companionship; and his brothers Pedro and Francisco Alfaro, who left an indelible mark on his heart. Their memories will forever be woven into the fabric of the stories he shared, and they remain alive in the thoughts and prayers of his family.
