Guadalupe "Lupe" Velasquez

Guadalupe Velasquez, husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather, age 71 of Devine, Texas entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 29, 2024.

Lupe was born May 23, 1952, in Devine, Texas to parents Florencio and Victoria Velasquez 

He is preceded in death by his parents Florecio and Victoria Velasquez; brother Johnny Velasquez and sister Elva Chavera. 

Lupe is survived by his loving wife Janie Velasquez; sisters Pauline Velasquez and Mary Velasquez; son Gabriel Velasquez and wife, Stephanie; daughters Lisa G. Velasquez and  Amanda Esparza and husband, Eduardo; grandchildren Gabriel J. Gonzales and wife, Katherine, Jacie Gonzales, Jon, Victoria Jaylyn Gonzales, Darrin,  Alexandria Velasquez; great-granddaughter Sophia Jade Paiz.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. Primrose Funeral Services Chapel, Devine, Texas. Mass will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. St. Joseph's Catholic Church Devine, Texas with interment to follow at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.
