Hector S. Villarreal

January 6, 1950 — July 12, 2020

Hector S. Villarreal, of Pearsall passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020 in San Antonio, TX at the age of 70.  He was born January 6, 1950, to Audon and Beatriz Siller Villarreal.  He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Edward S.Villarreal, brother-in-law Ray C. Luna and niece Melissa Adame. 

He is survived by his wife of 45 years Mary Ann G. Villarreal, son: Donny G. Villarreal (Jennifer); daughter: Amy Jean Villarreal (David Enriquez); brothers: Emilio Villarreal (Gloria), Audon Villarreal, Jr. (Priscilla), Abel Villarreal (Norma), and Roberto Villarreal (Monica); sisters Elvia Salinas, Diana Ventura (Johnny), Irma McGilvray (Jim), Selma Hernandez (Alex), Nelda V. Luna (+Ray); sister-in-law Alicia Villarreal (+Edward); grandchildren: Brody Jason Villarreal, David Mota and Carolina Gomez along with numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. 

He served in the United States Army from 1969-1971.  He was a loving, caring, wonderful and loyal husband, father, brother, co-worker and friend.  He was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.  He worked at Vogel and Fey for more than 30 years and later at Jack’s Produce until his death.  He was loved by many in his community.   He would never hesitate to lend a helping hand to others.  He loved watching football, playing horseshoes and listening to oldies.  He made the best wings and brisket at our holiday BBQs.  He was such a strong and hard-working man and his whole family will miss him dearly.  

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at the Pearsall Veterans Cemetery.

Arrangements will be under the direction of Hurley Funeral Home - Pearsall, 608 E. Trinity, Pearsall, TX 78061
