Ignatius George Peters, Jr.

Ignatius George Peters, Jr. born on May 4, 1928, went to be with the Lord on August 5, 2023, at the age of 95. His parents were Ignatius Peters and Mary Ann (Straub) Peters from Stanton, Texas. Ignatius was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Luisa (Martinez) Peters from Monterey, Mexico and a son who died shortly after birth, George Luis Peters. He is survived by his children, Rebecca Christine Peters, Jacob Paul Peters, Mary Benitez and Mary Lou Carrillo. Ignatius has six grandchildren, Elizabeth Peters Hall, John Jacob Peters, Benjamin Peters, Mark Benitez, Robert Benitez, Samantha Benitez, great grandchildren, Peter Hall, Caleb Peters, Uriah Peters and other friends and family.

A visitation will be on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Primrose Funeral Services in Lytle, Texas. A mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 10:00 am at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Lytle, Texas with interment to follow in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Devine, Texas.
