Jo Andene "Andene" Perkins

"With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jo Andene "Andene" Perkins, who transitioned peacefully on April 16, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on May 11, 1956, in Dilley, Texas, Andene brought joy and warmth to all who knew her.

Jo Andene was preceded in death by parents, Andrew Jacob, and Armenta Jo.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Raymond Autrey "Autrey" Perkins; and son, Michael Edd Perkins, she will also be missed by her brothers, David Redus Armstrong (Laura), Michael Andrew Armstrong (Fran), and Kyle Forest Armstrong (Flor); along with numerous nieces and nephews that she adored. 

Andene graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Economics from Texas Women University. She lived with unwavering love and commitment, having spent 47 cherished years married to her devoted husband, Autrey Perkins, whom she met in Carrizo Springs. Together, they nurtured a loving family, including their beloved son, Michael Edd Perkins. 

As a retired professional, Andene's impact extended beyond her career; she touched countless lives with her genuine kindness and infectious spirit. Her creativity and zest for life will be fondly remembered by family and friends alike. 

A public viewing will be held at Primrose Funeral Services in Pearsall on April 23, 2025, from 10:00am - 11:00am with a Graveside service and interment to follow in Dilley Cemetery.

 Jo Andene Perkins is survived by her loving husband, Raymond Autrey, and their son, Michael Edd. She will be dearly missed but forever held in our hearts.

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jo's memory to either the St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Scottish Rites Children's Hospital in Dallas. Texas, reflecting her spirit of generosity and compassion.
