Jobeth Nieto, beloved wife, mother of four children, and grandmother of three passed away peacefully on Friday, September 11, 2020.
Jobeth was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Pearsall, Texas. Jobeth was dedicated to serving the Lord through service and participation with ACTS retreats and women’s retreats. Jobeth is admired by her immediate family and church family for her gift of service. She will be remembered for her kind and beautiful heart, the smile she made as she laughed, and most of all, her unwavering faith. Jobeth enjoyed cooking and entertaining her loved ones. She was extremely proud of her children and loved the moments they spent together. Although, it’s well known that the time she spent with her husband, Gregorio was her most cherished.
Jobeth was passionate about her work in Healthcare Administration. She worked at Frio Regional Hospital in Pearsall, Texas for many years before transitioning her career to Ballinger Hospital. Jobeth’s devotion to her career fueled her drive to pursue her education. In 2019 she was awarded her Bachelors of Science degree in Health Information Management from Texas State University achieving Magna Cum Laude honors. Jobeth adored her coworkers at Ballinger Hospital for their endless support of her educational goals and would speak so fondly of them. Jobeth was slated to begin a Master's Degree program in the Fall 2020 semester.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband Greg Nieto; loving children Brandy (Aaron) Walz, Brittany (Hillary) Nieto, Bridgette(Carissa) Nieto, and David Nieto; and grandchildren Liam, David, and Lilia Walz; mother Leatrice Strunk; siblings Judith Gonzales, Clay Patterson, and Cecil Patterson, and Eunice and Terry Patterson. She is preceded in death by one brother, Wesley Aliff, grandparents Vinita Jo and Cecil Patterson, and Mitchell Duroux.
Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM Wednesday, September 16, 2020, in the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Mass will be Celebrated at 9:30 AM Thursday, September 17, 2020, in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Pearsall Cemetery.
Due to the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, masks or facial coverings will be mandatory and social distancing will be observed. Pearsall limits physical contact to members of your immediate family.
