Eulogy:

Johnny was a hard-working man who loved his family deeply and had a beautiful relationship with God. We all know the bond between him and his wife, Elizabeth. They were always together and strived to do all they could for their children, and grandchildren that they raised as their own. Even though we didn’t have much, we had all we needed, a roof over our heads, food on the table, and each other’s warmth. He was a stubborn, hardheaded, strong man with a crazy funny sense of humor. Always on the lookout for an old fixer-upper vehicle. He ran a small Used Tire business from his home, working a few shop spots in Sabinal as well, selling what he could to make sure we had what we needed. We believe those of us in the family, who work hard every day, got that work ethic from him. He loved all animals, as we had so many growing up, we can’t even count them all. He was always killing time watching sports and his favorite Football team, “Dallas Cowboys.” Some of his famous words I will never forget are, "a little black tape will fix it". We love him dearly and will carry him in our hearts forever.

Psalms 23

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
