Julia Mabel Beck

Julia Mabel Beck, of Euless, and formerly of Pearsall, passed away on June 9, 2021, in Euless at the age of 101 years.  Mrs. Beck was born on April 26, 1920, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Capt. Jesse K. and Julia Woodward Mattox.  Mrs. Beck was a graduate of Pearsall High School, Class of 1938.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Dean Beck, stepson Randy Beck, brothers Jesse K. Mattox, Jr. and Charles W. Mattox, nephew Matthew Mattox and niece Catherine Mattox.

She is survived by son Tom Branch of Bryan, daughter Margo Mullen (Mike) of Bedford, stepson Mike Beck (Kelly) of Weatherford, stepdaughters Bonnie Snedecor (Wayne) of Houston, and Cindy Basore (Ed) of Houston.  Survivors also include granddaughters Nicole and Taylor Mullen, nephews Charles Mattox, Jr. (Emily) of El Paso, Jess K. Mattox III (Jan) of Sugarland, John Mattox (Nancy) of Austin, and niece Julie Douglass (Brent) of Austin, niece, Autumn Mattox of Austin, and numerous step grand and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Hurley Funeral Home in Pearsall, Texas on Friday, June 11, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Pearsall Cemetery in Pearsall, Texas with Dr. David Bachelor officiating.

Pallbearers will be Bill Thompson, Lew Thompson, Stu Thompson, Patrick Wilder, Doug Lumpkin, and Jesse Alvarez.

The family wishes to recognize Drs. Ryan S. Reeves, MD, Spine Team Texas, and J. Kevin Page, MD, Grapevine Internal Medicine Centre for their many years of dedicated service administering to Mrs. Beck's health needs.

The family also wishes to recognize M. Lovie Baxter, FNP-BC, and her staff at A Touch of Love Care Home, Bedford, Texas for making Julia's final weeks as comfortable as possible.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hurley Funeral Home in Pearsall, Texas.
