Kelly Kinsel, of Hondo, Texas has passed away at the age of 57.
Kelly graduated in 1988 from Texas A&I in Kingsville, Texas, and in 1992 from Southwestern Graduate School of Banking. He was active in the banking community since his high school years, serving as Vice President of multiple banks. He was also a member of many organizations, such as Knights of Columbus, Lion's Clubs, and Sigma Chi, and was an active member of the Catholic Church in the communities in which he lived.
In his free time, Kelly refereed high school and college football, was an avid golfer, hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed many annual camping trips with his buddies. He also loved to watch movies and sporting events with his children.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jim Allen Kinsel, his mother, Phyllis Pitts Laurel, and stepfather, Matthew Laurel.
Kelly leaves behind his son, Landry Kinsel; daughters, Madelynn Benge (Drew), and Kristynn Kinsel, his sisters; Gayle Rice, Leona English, and Stacey Clark; and his beautiful grandchildren, Wade Benge, Beau Benge, and Avalynn Benge. He will also be missed by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many, many friends.
A Viewing will be held in his honor on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 5:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00p.m. at Primrose Funeral Services Chapel in Devine, Texas. A Mass will celebrated on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 10:00a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in La Coste, Texas. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Devine, Texas.
