Lucia "Luchi" Chavez Ramirez

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lucia (Luchi) C. Ramirez. She was born in Pearsall, Texas on December 31, 1938, and passed in Pearsall, Texas on April, 4, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones.

Luchi loved to have a clean, beautiful home, which she took great pride in. She also loved to garden, dance, and spend time in the presence of her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe Ramirez; her beloved son, David Ramirez; parents, Senovio and Francisca Chavez; sister, Virginia Viesca; half-sister, Cruz Aguilar; brothers, Juan Chavez, Manuel Chavez, and Paul Chavez.

Lucia leaves behind her daughters, Martha Palacios (Felix), Norma Ramirez (Raul Ochoa), Maryann Ramirez (David Perez); sons, Hector Ramirez (Marisol), Abel Ramirez (Isabel); and daughter in law, Janie Ramirez. She will also be missed by her sister, Micaela "Kela" Vasquez; sister in law, Juanita "Juane" Torres; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A Visitation will be held in her honor on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 5:00pm - 9:00pm, with the Rosary recited at 8:00pm at Primrose Funeral Services in Pearsall, Texas. A Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 10:00am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Pearsall, Texas. Interment to follow in Frio County Cemetery.
