Mary Snow Maldonado

Maria Nieves (Mary Snow) Elizondo Maldonado, 74 of Pearsall, was called home to be with the Lord on December 2, 2021. She was surrounded by her children and family. She was born in Derby, Tx on February 16, 1947, to Desiderio G. Elizondo, Sr. and Guadalupe S. Elizondo. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Antonio C. Maldonado, and her siblings Lorenza S. Elizondo, Jose Luis Elizondo, Julio S. Elizondo, and Juan S. Elizondo. Mary Snow is survived by her children Arlene F. Coury with Dennis Coury, Audrey A. Gonzales with Humberto (Humby) Gonzales II, Anthony T. Maldonado with Amy Aranda, her siblings Estella S. Elizondo, Maria E. Robledo, Alicia E. Schreiber, Desiderio S. Elizondo, Jr. Diamantina Elizondo-Siller, Alamar E. Grander and Eduardo S. Elizondo, her grandchildren Camaran S. Perez 

with Shavonna Secatero, Autumn S. Dufner with Corey Dufner, Caleb L. Gonzales with Amber Gonzales, Joshua W. Gonzales, Krystal M. Gonzales, Nikita W. Coury, Anthony Tyler Maldonado, Aiden S. Maldonado, her great-grandchildren Camden O. Dufner, Anua S. Perez, Christopher R. Dufner, and Makenna A. Gonzales. Mary Snow, also known as Grandma the Teacher, attended the University of Texas in San Antonio and graduated in May of 1987. She retired after working over 30 years for Pearsall ISD. She loved her students as if they were her own. 

After retiring, she enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, attending football games to watch former students perform, walking, and reading. “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you 

also may be where I am.” John 14:3

Visitation will be held Friday, December 10, 2021, at 9:00 am with a chapel service at 10:00 am at the Hurley Funeral Home in Devine services to conclude at the funeral home.
