Michael Arnold Sluiter, age 81, passed away in November 6, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas. 

He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on January 31, 1943. He married Linda Paddie Sluiter while stationed at Ramstein Air Base in Germany on February 28, 1975.

Michael enlisted in the Air Force on December 7, 1960, and retired on January 1, 1991 after 30 years as a Chief Master Sergeant.

Mike and Linda spent their retirement living in Medina County near Devine, Texas. Michael spent his days mowing or working on his classic cars, the 1965 Pontiac Bonneville and the 1966 Dodge Charger. He loved to play golf, go bowling, play card games, travel extensively, and feed the herds of deer on the homestead.

Michael was a member of Alzafar Shrine and belonged to the Kerr Klowns. He was a Master Mason and belonged to Blue Bonnet, Devine, and Frio Lodges, and Scottish Rite.

Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Geradine Barkely Donohue; son, Craig Michael; and his sisters Shirley Donohue and Phylis Flynn.

He is survived by his wife Linda, his daughter Becky, several nieces and nephews, and one very special young man, Ryker Jorgenson.

A visitation will be held at Primrose Funeral Chapel in Lytle on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 4:00pm - 7:00 pm, a Funeral Service will be held at Primrose in Lytle on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 11:00am, with interment to follow in Fort Sam National Cemetery at 1:45pm.
