Olin R. Cook of Atascosa, TX passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021after a lengthy, courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. The family expresses deep appreciation to Texas Oncology Center and its staff for their kindness and excellent care during these difficult times of treatment.
Born in suburban Houston on January 7, 1940, Olin also enjoyed spending much of his childhood growing up on his grandparent's farm in Liberty, TX. He was proud to have recently celebrated thirty-six plus years in marriage as the loving husband of Margie A. (Barthold) Cook.

Olin proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the early 1960s. He then worked in the Civil Service field as a Computer Programmer and retired as a Computer Section Chief in 1993. In retirement Olin happily turned from being a weekend farmer to immersing himself full-time in caring for his beloved farm and helping Margie with her Cook's Designs quilting work. Olin and Margie also enjoyed vacationing and sightseeing throughout the United States.
In addition to his wife, Olin is also survived by his daughter, Judy McHann, and three grandchildren, Jacob, Christopher, and Michele(San Antonio), his brother Pat (Houston), and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins in Houston/ Corpus Christi areas.
