Ramona Chavira

Ramona passed away peacefully in her home on November 17, 2024. Ramona was born April 9, 1933 in Moore, TX to Doroteo and Gregoria Reyes. She married Ray Chavira on October 13, 1956. Together they had 6 children, 21 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. 

Ramona is survived by her children Rachel Schossow, Rene (Melba), Becky (Jesse) Mendoza, Barbara (Jamie) Ramirez and Bobby Chavira, brothers Pifanio Reyes and Polo Reyes. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ray, son Roy, grandson Rene Ray, great grandson Lucas Whitehead, brothers Lupe, Luis, and Julian Reyes, sisters Aldefina Rodriguez and Andrea Tijerina. 

Ramona will always be known for making the best tortillas and always having a smile on her face. 

She lived a good life and enjoyed the time she spent with all her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed and forever live in our hearts.
