Reba Jean Brown

REBA JEAN BROWN, 90, passed away on May 29, 2020 in Dilley, TX. She was born on February 6, 1930 in New Mexico to parents IRA and MARIE (EDWARDS) STILWELL. She was raised by Clarence Hermes and Marie Hermes, along with her five brothers.

Mrs. Brown was an LVN, who began her career at the Dilley Hospital until it closed then at several other hospitals and ultimately worked for many years with the Texas Department of Corrections in the Dolph Briscoe Unit.

REBA was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ploch Brown; one son, Donald Clarence (Jim) Brown, and all her siblings.

REBA is survived by her children, Brenda (Bruce) Grossie , Sammy Ray (Jamie ) Brown,sister-in-law Edna Hermes; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren,and numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, graveside services will be private with interment in the Dilley Cemetery.
