Richard David Arnold, Jr.

Richard David Arnold, Jr., passed into his Heavenly Home on Sunday, August 29th, 2021, from his home, in Lytle, Texas. Father of two, grandfather of five, lifelong Christian, author and devoted husband of 58 years will be greatly missed for both his love and his unending support. Richard was born February 23, 1943 to Richard and Othelia Arnold. He graduated as Valedictorian of Carbon High School in 1961 and completed a BS from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Science in Microbiology from TCU. On April 13, 1963, Richard Arnold and Janice Marie Raglin Arnold were married in Breckenridge, Texas. While God and family were always first for Richard, he spent his professional life passionately helping to provide rural healthcare for smaller communities in Texas as a Hospital Administrator. Richard is proceeded in death by his parents, Richard Arnold, Sr., and OT Arnold of Eastland Texas and brother Bill Arnold. Richard is survived by his wife, Janice Marie Arnold of Lytle and two children, Jana Beth Parker of Lytle and Richard David Arnold III and wife Maggie Arnold. 'Pawpaw Richard' also left 5 grandchildren: Chance Alan Parker of Austin, Luke Dakota Parker and Dominique Rodriguez of Lytle, Holly Elizabeth and Antonio Sanchez-Parker, Skylar Elana Arnold and Zane Tristan Arnold. One of six siblings, Richard will be missed by Jim and wife Vanitta Arnold of Eastland, Arlina and Aaron Shortnacy of Tulsa,Aaron Arnold of Hawaii, and Eddie Arnold of California. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday the 10th of September at Trinity Baptist Church, 18670 I35 Access Rd, Lytle, Tx 78052. Please, have flowers sent to Trinity Baptist Church.
