Robert L. Murphy

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robert "Rob" Lee Murphy. On July 8, 2024, we lost a kind and gentle soul. Rob was born July 7, 1992, and during his life, he touched so many with his quirky smile and quiet laugh.

 He leaves behind his wife, Alexis Murphy, who he met in high school and had two beautiful children with. The light of his world, his children, son Hayes Robert Murphy and daughter Sloane Olivia Murphy. Brother Marcus Murphy and wife Skylin, Nephew Stetson and Nieces Marlee and Lakelynn, Sister Micah Murphy, Niece Poppy, Mother Reena Murphy, and proceeds in death with Father Micheal Murphy. Rob survived among many other grandparents, cousins, friends, and in-laws. 

Rob received his BA in Geology from Texas A&M Corpus Christi and started his career as an exploration geologist. He succeeded and had two successful oil wells before he pursued a career change and became a data scientist. Rob continued his education and started his master's degree in data analytics before his passing. Rob's greatest accomplishments were being a husband to his wife and father to his two babies. He would move mountains if he could to ensure their happiness. Rob's spirit will forever live in our hearts as a quiet but very loving man to whomever he touched.

 A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. at Primrose Funeral Services in Devine, Texas.
