Robert M. Reyna Jr. age 64 of Devine, Texas, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024, in Devine, Texas. Robert was born October 1, 1960, in San Miguel Tamaulipas, Mexico to parents, Roberto Reyna Sr. and Alicia Mireles Reyna.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roberto Reyna Sr. and Alicia Reyna, as his brother Eligio Reyna, and sister Amanda Reyna.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Reyna and daughter Veronica Reyna of Devine, Texas, and sisters Bertha Garza(Robert) of San Antonio and Elizabeth Reyna(Luis) of San Antonio, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He attended Devine High School where he was a graduate of the class of 1979. In the mid 80's, he built from the bottom up, Reyna's Welding in Devine, where he and his dad worked alongside for 34 years until his dad went into Devine Health and Rehabilitation. Robert continued welding and operating Reyna’s Welding several years after his dad's passing and relocating next door to Juan’s Taco's.
Throughout his 38 years of welding, he was valuable to his surrounding communities by completing multiple projects that required minimum fixing to more complex constructions of metal buildings.
There was not a job that was too hard for Robert. His expertise, tricks, and trade secrets made it possible for him to accomplish any job regardless of how difficult.
Robert was well-known and respected as a hardworking and honest man. Throughout his life he was genuinely supportive of those in need. In fact, he would take the clothes off his back to give to others that were less fortunate. His kind gestures may have left him with nothing at times but he truly believed it was more important to help them. Robert’s true nature was to be generous without expecting anything in return.
He enjoyed BBQing on the weekends which included sharing his amazing food with family. He also ventured out to the Kickapoo Casino for fun on the weekends. Most importantly, he enjoyed and loved being with his family and creating amazing memories. Family meant the world to him and he often voiced that he wanted the best for them.
Robert will always be remembered as a hardworking, loving, honest, and selfless person.
This isn't a goodbye but a see you later. Until we meet again, we love you!
