Rosel Isidro Flores

Rosel Isidro Flores, beloved father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on September 8, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on October 11, 1964 in Brackettville, Texas. Rosel's untimely departure has left a void in the hearts of all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

In high school he discovered his talent for playing the drums which led to his passion for classic rock. Some of his favorite bands included Pink Floyd, Scorpions and REO Speedwagon. Rosel was known for his sense of humor and could always be counted on to make you laugh. He was a dedicated fan of the Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs, and Houston Astros. His enthusiasm for sports brought joy to many conversations and gatherings with loved ones. 

He found enjoyment in physical labor which included chopping wood and yard work. He took pride in his ability to provide warmth and comfort for his family. His friends knew they could always count on him to lend a helping hand with any task, whether big or small. 

Rosel will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Gloria A. Reyes, who cherished him dearly. His son, Rosel Rene Flores (Crystal) and daughter, Tiana Flores (Josh) were blessed to have him as their loving father.

Rosel also leaves behind his brother, Concepcion Flores Jr., whose bond with him was unbreakable. His grandson, Cody Flores brought immense joy to his life.

Let us not forget Princess, Rosel's loyal four-legged fur baby who offered unconditional love and companionship. Princess brought warmth and happiness to Rosel's days, and her presence will continue to be cherished by the family.

Additionally, Rosel is survived by his niece, Hillary Flores, and nephews, David Castro, Andres Flores, and Martin Flores. Their shared memories will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

Rosel was preceded in death by his father, Concepcion G. Flores Sr.; stepfather, Victor Reyes; maternal grandparents, Rosel Jr. and Elia Prouty; brother, Catarino "Tino" Flores; paternal grandparents, Catarino and Ramona Flores as well as his sister-in-law, Sonia Flores. 

A rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. followed by the celebration of a mass at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Lytle, Texas.  Services will conclude at the church.
