Ruby Jo Charles Mercer

Ruby Jo Charles Mercer passed away on October 10, 2021, in Lytle, Texas at the age of 79.

She was born on March 19, 1942, to Joe and Mary Charles in San Antonio, Texas.

Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Mary Charles; brother, Jesse Charles; husband, Jesse Walker Mercer.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Lisa Marie (Joe) Hernandez; son, Corey (Veronica) Gutierrez; sister, Theresa C. Parton; nephew, Norbert Eckert; grandchildren, Erica, Victoria, Claudia, Cameron, Corey Alec, Cathryn, Caden Jesse and great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Grayson, Xavier, Jonathon and Xena.

A visitation will be on Monday, October 18, 2021 from 5pm-9pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7pm at Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Lytle, Texas. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
