Veronica Rodriguez, a beloved pillar of her family and community, passed away peacefully on October 14,2024, surrounded by the people who loved her most. Born in Pearsall, Texas, on January 14, 1970, Veronica dedicated her life to nurturing her family and serving those around her.
Her family was everything to her. She leaves a devoted husband, Oscar Rodriguez, and their cherished children: Nathan Moreno and his wife Chelsea , along with Erica Sambrano and her boyfriend Albert, David Sambrano Jr., and Timothy Sambrano. She was a proud grandmother to Dominique Sambrano, Azalea Moreno, Giselle Moreno, Aubry Moreno, Evelynn Sambrano, Madison Sambrano, Malani Moreno, David Sambrano III, Chloe Moreno, and Nathan Moreno Jr., and to grandson Ezra Ibarra.. Veronica also leaves behind her loving siblings: Mario Moreno and wife Loretta of Carrizo Springs, TX, Michelle Chavez and husband Richard of Pearsall, TX, Norman Moreno and wife Noemi of Dilley, TX, and Rachel Trevino and husband Rene of Dilley, TX, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who were dear to her heart.
Veronica was passionate about her culinary skills, often cooking meals from her food truck in her hometown. Cooking was not just a hobby; it was an expression of her love and a way to bring people together. Furthermore, her commitment to her community resonated through her efforts in organizing fundraisers, showcasing her dedication to helping others.
She is preceded in death by her father, Mario Moreno Sr., her mother, Oralia Moreno, and her brother, Jose Trinidad Moreno. Their memories will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved Veronica.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the viewing on October 24, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Dilley, TX. Following the viewing, a rosary will be held from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass will follow at 10:00 AM, leading to her interment at the Latin American Cemetery inside Dilley Cemetery at 11:00 AM, where she will be laid to rest, forever cherished.
Although Veronica has departed from this world, her legacy of love, compassion, and joy will forever resonate within the hearts of her family, friends, and community. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
